There are so many plugins for Photoshop that I wouldnt spend that much time on learning one that is going to be replaced soon. With some other plugins you cant use presets (for example it sounds strange, but Photoshop has a preset for the original Photoshop face, but the Retouch4me face does not. I understand the thinking behind this, but it makes no sense). I would rather spend my time and money on other plugins that offer more features. I want to share my views about a company that I haven’t worked with but I can share my thoughts. 3 years ago I was using butylcohol, then I switched to DxO, and again to Liquefy. To me, Retouch4me is not the best tool yet. I can see it being better than Liquefy, but compared to DxO it is still worse. Retouch4me cannot write a layer style but a feature does not need to have all these functions. For example, it does not need a dodge tool. So it is just a way to learn something. Don’t waste a lot of time on such small tools that are going to be replaced soon. Buy only the best tools. There are other plugins that are better for the price (even cheaper sometimes).

I find the Spot Healing Brush in areas like small, fuzzy scratches on the skin almost impossible to correct (on JPEG files – some RAW files have it a little easier). However, using a cloned (duplicate) layer in Lightroom before exporting, you can then just process the cloned layer (copy/paste the cloned layer in Photoshop) into another Photoshop file and retouch it as you would a single image.
